Some of the solutions we have proposed for our clients…

1) ERP & Automated Order-Entry

We mapped out an entire solution to automate the order-entry, inventory and fulfillment processes for a manufacturer and distributor. Our solution consisted of Microsoft Business Solutions – Great Plains on the client’s back end for order and inventory management, and the design of a web-based order-entry interface for the client’s clients to enter their own orders over any Internet-connected PC. Orders entered via the web could be seamlessly integrated into the back-end systems via the Great Plains Dynamic Database SQL. The scalable solution included the automation of shipping label printing, variable pricing by customer contract, and the generation of sales reports. Key benefits included:
• More accurate inventories.
• More accurate and timely invoices and reports.
• A reduction in the cycle time from order to shipment from 5 to 2 days.
• Enhanced customer satisfaction resulting in more orders and revenue generated.

2) System Upgrades and Corrective Maintenance

On the opposite end of the spectrum and on a smaller scale, we dramatically improved performance for another client who had a system in place but sensed they were not realizing their equipment’s full capabilities. After performing diagnostics and analysis, we were able to make some minor modifications to improve performance and productivity:
• We replaced mismatched hubs and routers with a 48-port switch that dramatically sped up network traffic.
• We reconfigured the hard drive to eliminate partitioning, and we recommended an identical mirror drive as a back-up/redundancy measure.
• We upgraded the file server memory to improve Windows performance.
• We upgraded the server operating system from Windows NT 4 to Windows 2000 Advance Server.
